Our mission

Our mission is to support the implementation of learning technologies ​in schools in Dominica. As in all 21st century classrooms, teachers and students know the importance of connecting people and connecting with information in our increasingly digital world. Students who hold a depth of understanding of where, how, why and when technology​ may serve learning, work and social engagement will have choices.  With your help we can ensure students in Dominica have these choices. 

About Dominica

​The Commonwealth of Dominica is a small island nation located in the Caribbean Sea.  With a population estimated at 67,000, Dominica is renowned for its stunning natural beauty.  The island has faced significant challenges due to natural disasters. It is prone to hurricanes and tropical storms due to its location in the Caribbean's hurricane belt. In 2017, Dominica was severely impacted by Hurricane Maria, which caused widespread devastation, with an estimated 90% of the country's infrastructure damaged or destroyed - including almost every school on the island .  There are 58 primary schools and 15 secondary schools on the island that employ approximately 1000 teachers who serve a population of about 11,000 students.
